It is bordered by Bhutan,Nepal, and tibet. Sikkim is also the home of India's highest mountain kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers. Steep paths lead to hilltop Buddhist monasteries.
The capital of sikkim is Gangtok which is a very beautiful place every year many tourist come Gangtok to enjoy the beauty of mountains and the glaciers.

3:- Tsomgo (changu) Lake.
38kms from Gangtok and at an altitude of 12400 ft the etherally beautiful Tsomgo lake is a must on every visitors itinerary. A widing road through rugged mountains terrain and sharp cliff takes you to Tsomgo.

Around 10kms from Gyalshing, Pelling is today emerging as the second biggest tourist destination in the state after Gangtok. Although im itself it is little more than a strip of road lined with hotels.

5:- Buddhist circuit
Sikkim was blessed by gurupadmasambhava, the great Buddhist Saint who visited Sikkim in the 8th century and consecrated the land, meditating at its four corners to rid it all negatively. Here he is believed to have hidden many secret teachings.

Sikkim has many hot springs known for their therapeutic value. High in sulphar content, the waters are believed to have great medicinal properties with the average temperature of the water im these hot springs close to 50c.

ReplyDeleteThere is no direct train or flight to sikkim you can take flight upto bagdogra. And then book a taxi to gangtok sikkim. Or you can go on train upto siliguri and then take taxi for gangtok sikkim.
