ALMORA,UTTRAKHAND
Almora is district of Uttrakhand. It is 1638 meter above the sealevel and at the distance of 363km from Delhi. It is loacted at the southernpart of kumaon hills of Himalayan region. Almora is atrraction for tourist because of himalayan culture, handcrafts and admirable environment.Places to be visited in almora:
1.Zeropoint:-
Zero point is loacated at Binsar wildlife Sanctuary, Almora at 2400meter above the ground level. A person can reach there only by trekking 2km from the parking area. Visitors should go in the month of march to july to enjoy the pleasant environment. From the zero point one can view upto distance of 3000km which covers kadarnath, shivling, trishul, nandadevi. Zero point can satisfy the tourist with its wonderful nature and sceneries.
2.Kasar Devi Temple:-
Kasar Devi Temple is situated on the hill top 5km away from Almora. During the time of kartik purnima a fair is conducted which shows their culture. Many famous personalities have visited kasar temple like Swami Vivekanand, Bobdylan, Allen Ginsberg etc. The temple is popular as it comes under the VanAllenBelt. Many people claims that the presence of magnetic power make the mind calm and it is best place for meditation and picnic as it is on the hilltop.
3.Katarmal Sun Temple:-
This temple shows the great architecture and the past of the place. The temple was constituted by the king Katarmalla from katyuri dynasty. The temple is on the hill so it will provide the experience of trekking and wonderful adventure.
4.Kalimut:-
Kalimut is situated 1750meter above the sealevel. It is famous for kali temple and
mesmerising view from the hill. Kalimut is birth place of Kalidas. Kalimut is admirable because of its beautiful and pray full environment.
